The 32-year old is a vastly experienced left-back with over 300 Football League appearances to his name. He made his league bow aged just 17 for Leyton Orient in January 2001. Over the following four seasons he played 79 times for the O’s before moving to Kidderminster Harriers.
The full-back then moved to Exeter City where he scored 17 goals in 86 appearances, before a £65,000 move to Crewe Alexandra in 2007, for whom he played over 70 times. Jones has also featured for Cheltenham Town, Newport County, and most recently Gloucester City.
Widely known as a clinical dead-ball specialist, he can also play at centre-back or in midfield.
We would like to welcome Billy to the club, and look forward to seeing him turn out for the Hawks later in the summer.
