Ruben joined at the start of the 2023/24 campaign, when the club first held trials and were totally rebuilding the side after resigning from the Southern League.

He immediately proved to be an impressive and skilful player in midfield, becoming an instant starter for Danny Chapman, making 40 appearances in his first season, scoring 7 and assisting 10 as the side lifted the Thurlow Nunn League Challenge Cup, with him starting in the final.

His second season saw him become the Hawks’ penalty taker, and in 13 appearances, he scored 5 and assisted 2.
