As has been made public ahead of this official announcement, the Club can confirm that with immediate effect it has parted company with Ladies First Team Manager, Ruudy Ridwaan. All at the Club would like to thank Ruudy for his endeavours in the time he has been here; in the first instance as a coach and since last season, Manager. We were delighted to offer Ruudy his first Managerial post and once again thank him for his time here with us and we wish him all the best with his future career. We would also like to thank his backroom staff who also leave us with immediate effect.
The delay in this formal announcement by a little over 24 hours has been whilst the Club and its board worked swiftly to secure a replacement for Ruudy and we are delighted that we were given an opportunity to commence discussions with a hugely qualified Manager in Leon Holden and can this afternoon confirm that Leon has agreed to take the helm with immediate effect.
Leon has been coaching and managing Girls and Women’s Football for 19 years. Leon is a UEFA B Qualified Coach currently working towards his A Licence. Leon is former Watford Girls Academy Director and has more recently had a role with Cambridge United. As the Club expands its girls and Women’s section, Leon’s skills dovetail perfectly with the phase of our club development, and it looks forward to working with him for the years ahead.
There will be further announcements as Leon builds his Staff.
